American Traveler is seeking an experienced Operating Room RN with circulating and scrubbing experience for a Main OR position in Augusta, GA. The role covers multiple specialties with 16 operating rooms and a day schedule. Epic and Pyxis systems are in use, with DaVinci XI Robots on site.

Qualifications

Travel RN - Operating Room

Augusta, Georgia

Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced Operating Room RN with both circulating and scrubbing experience for a Main OR position covering multiple surgical specialties.

Details

• Main OR setting supporting General, Neuro, Spine, Ortho, Robotics, Urology, Vascular, and Colorectal surgeries
• Adult to geriatric patient population
• 16 operating rooms with an average daily census of 35
• Day shift, 4x10 hour shifts from 6:30 AM to 5:00 PM
• Uses Epic, Pyxis, and 2 DaVinci XI Robots
• Works 2-3 weekends per 8 week schedule, either in-house or on call
• Rare floating within facility and scope of practice as needed
• Call requirements include 7-8 calls per 8 week schedule, including 1 weekend call, 1-2 weekend call shifts, and 2-3 weekday night call shifts
• Call shifts are either 7 PM-7 AM or 7 AM-7 PM

Requirements

• Active GA or Compact RN license required
• BLS certification required
• Minimum 1 year of OR nursing experience required
• Both circulating and scrubbing experience required
• Experience with procedures across Vascular, Neuro, General Surgery, Orthopedic, Robotics, and Urology specialties

Additional Information

• Provide perioperative nursing care across a wide range of surgical specialties including robotics-assisted procedures
• Scrubs provided by facility
• Holiday coverage required based on number of major holidays falling within the assignment period (Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving/Black Friday, Christmas Eve/Day, New Year's Eve/Day)
• Maximum RTO of 7 days per contract, with blackout dates during Spring Break (April 4th-12th)
• RTO requests cannot be made during orientation week or after offer/onsite
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• Local candidates accepted at the same rate
• Previous Piedmont employees (perm, per diem, or FCSS) must be away from all Piedmont facilities for one full year before applying as a traveler

Weekly local pay is fully taxable and therefore lower due to additional employer-paid taxes and related costs.
