American Traveler is seeking a Travel RN for an Operating Room position requiring 2+ years of experience and a TX or compact RN license.
- 13-week assignment in the Operating Room (Surgery/OR 701) department
- Shift schedule of 6:30 AM to 7:00 PM
- Multi-specialty OR unit with 10 beds and a team of 54 staff members
- Day shift staffing includes 1 CNC, 7 RNs, 10 CSTs, 3-4 FAs, 4 PCTs, 2 anesthesia techs, 1 supervisor, and 1 director
- Night shift is on‑call only
- EMR system is Meditech, currently converting to Expanse
- On‑call required including weekly rotations and one weekend per month
- No floating required
- Active TX or compact RN license required
- Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
- Experience in orthopedics, general surgery, urology, and gynecology procedures required
- ENT and vascular (non‑cardiac) experience preferred
- Pediatric experience preferred
- BSN preferred
- Experience with open, laparoscopic, and robotic general surgery cases (e.g., appendectomy, cholecystectomy, some bariatrics)
- Experience with robotic orthopedic procedures, total knee/hip replacements, and trauma orthopedics
- Experience with laparoscopic/robotic hysterectomies, tubal ligations, and emergent interventions
- US Social Security Number and date of birth required for consideration
- No gaps in work history exceeding 90 days within the past 12 months
- Team player with initiative and drive to keep operations running smoothly
- Required scrub color/attire is Cobalt Blue
- Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility as local candidates are not accepted
