American Traveler, LLC. is seeking a Circulating and Scrub RN for an Operating Room role in a rural hospital setting.

This travel nursing opportunity requires experience in rural facilities and Epic EMR proficiency to support diverse surgical services. You will rotate between circulating and scrub duties across specialties (general, gyne, OB, ophthalmology, ENT, endoscopy) with day shifts (8s/10s/12s), 40 hours per week, and on-call during weekdays only.

Qualifications

• Active RN license (ND or compact) with no disciplinary actions.
• Current BLS certification; ACLS and PALS as required.
• Minimum 2 years of experience.
• Prior rural hospital setting experience required.
• Travel nursing experience required.
• Epic EMR experience required.
• Competent in both circulating and scrub nurse roles.

Responsibilities

• Perform circulating and scrub nurse duties in rural OR.
• Caseload includes c-sections, hand cases, podiatry, cataracts.
• Support multiple surgical specialties: general, gyne, obstetrics, ophthalmology, ENT, endoscopy.
• Straight day shifts; 8, 10, or 12-hour options; 40 hours/week.
• On-call during weekdays; no weekend call.
• Uses Epic EMR system; maintain sterile field and prep instruments.
• Coordinate patient care and document procedures; ensure regulatory compliance.
• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesia, and staff; participate in emergency/trauma procedures.
• Assist with inventory, equipment troubleshooting, and orientation of new staff.
• Flexible to fluctuating volumes and expanded rural duties.

• Straight day shifts with flexible scheduling options (8s, 10s, or 12s)

• Call limited to c-section cases
• Uses Epic EMR system
• Provides safe, evidence-based care across preoperative, intraoperative, and postoperative phases
• Maintains sterile field, prepares instruments, and anticipates surgeon needs when scrubbing
• Coordinates patient care, documents procedures, and ensures regulatory compliance when circulating
• Collaborates with surgeons, anesthesia providers, and surgical technologists to support positive patient outcomes
• Participates in emergency and trauma procedures as needed
• Assists with inventory management, equipment troubleshooting, and orientation of new staff
• Requires flexibility to adapt to fluctuating surgical volumes and expanded responsibilities typical of rural healthcare settings
