Job summary

American Traveler, LLC. is hiring an experienced OR RN for a day-shift travel assignment in North Carolina. The role requires circulating experience, an active RN license (NC or compact), BLS/ACLS, and at least two years in OR nursing.

ADN is required. On-call duties and a fast-paced environment are expected. Responsibilities include working in a 6 OR suite facility with 1 CSOR, 1:1 patient ratios, and a mix of ortho, gyn, general, urology, plastics, spine, podiatry, ENT, and ophthalmology

Qualifications

• Active RN license (NC or compact) required.
• Current BLS and ACLS (AHA) certifications.
• Minimum 2 years of OR nursing experience.
• OR circulating experience required.
• ADN required.
• Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and stay flexible.

Responsibilities

• Operate in an OR setting with 6 OR suites and 1 CSOR.
• Maintain 1:1 patient ratios.
• Perform Ortho, GYN, General, Urology, Plastics, Spine, Podiatry, ENT, and Ophthalmology surgeries.
• Work day shift 6:45 AM to 5:15 PM.
• Use Paragon EHR.
• On-call required: second call one weekend per month, first/second call twice per pay period.
• No floating required.
• Work at a 154-bed Duke Lifepoint hospital offering multiple services.
• Hospital is a Joint Commission Accredited Chest Pain Center with 11 multi-specialty clinics.
• Hospital-issued scrubs required.
• Candidates must live more than 60 miles from the facility.
• Cannot have worked as permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the past 12 months.
• Cannot be employed elsewhere full time.

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of OR nursing experience required

• Must be comfortable in a fast-paced environment and able to organize and remain flexible

Responsibilities

• Operating Room setting with 6 OR suites and 1 cesarean section OR (CSOR)
• 1:1 patient ratios
• Common procedures include Ortho, GYN, General, Urology, Plastics, Spine, Podiatry, ENT, and Ophthalmology surgeries
• Day shift schedule from 6:45 AM to 5:15 PM
• Uses Paragon EHR
• On-call required: second call one weekend per month, first/second call twice per pay period
• No floating required
• Work in a 154-bed Duke Lifepoint hospital offering orthopedics, spine services, cardiology, general surgery, women's care, ED, and behavioral health services
• Hospital is a Joint Commission Accredited Chest Pain Center with 11 multi-specialty physician clinics
