Job summary

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Step Down unit on night shift in St. Louis, MO. Requires high-acuity ICU/stepdown background, vasopressor titration, and recent bedside care. 36 hrs/week, 3x12s, 13-week contract, 19:00-7:30.

Active MO or compact RN license, BLS/ACLS/NIHSS, and travel experience within 6 months are required. 1-year wait before returning to BJC facilities for travelers.

Qualifications

• Active RN license (MO or compact) required.
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required.
• High acuity stepdown or ICU experience required.
• Travel experience within last 6 months required.
• Trauma Level II experience required.

Responsibilities

• Care for high-acuity stepdown patients including cardiac, neurological, respiratory and post-surgical populations.
• Cardiac monitoring and dysrhythmia management; participate in rapid response/code teams.
• Titrate vasopressors, sedation meds, and insulin drips; manage trach vents, arterial lines and chest tubes.
