American Traveler, LLC. is seeking an experienced Neuro ICU RN for night shifts in Alabama. Requires active Alabama license, BLS/ACLS, 1+ year neuro ICU, and proficiency with IV/arterial access and stroke care. Travel nurses welcomed; block scheduling and 1:2 patient ratios.

Experience with EPIC and ICP/EDV monitoring preferred. Level II trauma center, 420 beds, and navy scrubs policy apply. Local candidates are not allowed. 90‑mile residency required.

Qualifikationen

• Active Alabama or compact RN license required at submission
• BLS and ACLS Certifications required; NIHSS certification preferred
• Minimum 1 year of neuro ICU experience required
• Experience in large healthcare facility settings preferred
• Skills include IV therapy, arterial line management, blood product administration, central and PICC line care, and initiating/maintaining IVs
• Experience with CVA/acute stroke management required
• Preferred skills include BiPAP/CPAP management, ventilated patient care, suctioning, continuous IV sedation, and titration of cardiac and vasoactive drips
• Preferred experience with EVD, ICP monitoring, post-neurosurgery care, spinal cord injury and traumatic brain injury care
• Preferred dysrhythmia interpretation and management; care of multisystem dysfunction/failure
• Sheath removal skill preferred

Aufgaben

• Work in the Neuro Intensive Care Unit of a Level II Trauma facility
• Care for neurocritical patients including ischemic/hemorrhagic stroke, post-thrombectomy, TBI, status epilepticus, spinal injuries
• Patient ratio 1:2
• Night shift, 3x12 or 4x12 hours; block scheduling, 1845-0715
• Every other weekend required
• Floats to CCU as needed
• Uses intracranial pressure monitors and external ventricular drains
• EPIC charting system used; experience preferred
• Provide neurocritical care nursing for complex neurological conditions
• Level II Trauma Center with 420 staffed beds
• Scrub requirement navy navy bottoms with white top
• First-time travelers welcome; prior staff not eligible for travel roles for 10 years
• Travelers must take 6-month break after 2 contracts; exceptions case-by-case
• Local candidates not accepted
• Must reside at least 90 miles from facility to be eligible

• Night shift, 3x12 or 4x12 hours by traveler preference, 1845-0715, with block scheduling accommodation available
• Every other weekend required
• Floating to CCU as needed
• Uses Intracranial Pressure monitors and external ventricular drains
• EPIC charting system used, experience preferred
• Provide neurocritical care nursing to patients with complex neurological conditions
• Facility is a Level II Trauma Center with 420 staffed beds
• Scrub requirement is all navy or navy bottoms with a white top
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• Former permanent staff are not eligible for travel roles for 10 years following separation
• Travelers must take a 6-month break after completing 2 consecutive contracts before returning, with exceptions considered case-by-case
• Local candidates will not be accepted
• Must reside at least 90 miles from the facility to be eligible
