Responsibilities

Provide care in the Neurosciences Critical Care Unit (NCCU) and Neuro ICU setting
Care for patients with severe brain injuries, stroke, brain tumors, and post-op neurosurgical needs
Float as needed to areas of like skill set, including ICU and IMC
Work 7A/7P rotating shifts and manage on-call duties per schedule
Coordinate patient care with multidisciplinary teams

Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Neuro Critical Care Unit position requiring 2 years of neuro critical care experience and an active MD or compact RN license.

Details

Work in the Neurosciences Critical Care Unit (NCCU), a Neuro ICU setting
Care for patients with severe brain injuries, stroke, brain tumors, and post-op neurosurgical needs, as well as nerve and muscle diseases
Uses Epic EMR
Rotating 7A/7P shifts
36 hours per week with no guaranteed hours
Required to work 3 of every 6 weekends
On-call responsibilities of 2 shifts per 6-week schedule
Holiday coverage as needed
Float as needed to areas of like skill set, including ICU and IMC

Requirements

Active RN license (MD or Compact) currently in hand
Current BLS certification required
ACLS, Critical Care Certification, and trauma course certification preferred
Minimum 2 years of Neuro Critical Care experience requiredExperience in a comparable facility size required (500+ bed count)

Additional Information

Provide specialized post-operative neurosurgical care to neurologically complex patients
