Job summary

American Traveler is seeking a Registered Nurse for a Neuro ICU assignment in Colorado. The role requires at least 1 year in Neuro ICU and a CO or compact RN license, with 36 hours per week on 3x12 shifts, rotating days and weekends.

You will care for patients in a 24-bed Neurosurgical ICU within a Comprehensive Stroke Center and Level I Trauma Center, using Epic charting and comprehensive neurological monitoring.

Qualifications

• Active CO or compact RN license required.
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications.
• Minimum 2 years RN experience with at least 1 year in Neuro ICU.

American Traveler is hiring a Registered Nurse for a Neuro ICU position requiring at least 1 year of dedicated Neuro ICU experience and a CO or compact RN license.

Details

• Magnet Hospital
• Work in a 24-bed Neurosurgical ICU within a Comprehensive Stroke Center and Level I Trauma Center
• High acuity, fast-paced surgical ICU environment
• Day and night rotating shifts (3x12 hours), various days of the week
• Weekend shifts required per unit needs
• No on-call responsibilities
• Floating required, including to sister facilities within the Metro region as needed
• Uses Epic charting system

Requirements

• Active CO or compact RN license required
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience, including at least 1 year in a dedicated Neuro specialty ICU
• Competent in hourly neurological assessments
• Experience with intracranial pressure management
• Experience with External Ventricular Drain (EVD) management
• Experience with subarachnoid hemorrhage management
• Experience with post-thrombectomy patient management
• Experience with post-craniotomy patient management (including post brain tumor resection)

Additional Information

• Provide comprehensive neurological monitoring and critical care to high-acuity ICU patients
