American Traveler, LLC. is hiring an experienced NICU RN for a Level III/IV neonatal ICU in the Phoenix area. The role requires a minimum of 3 years NICU experience and current NRP certification.

The position offers travel nursing benefits, including housing support, lucrative pay, day-1 benefits options, and per diem. Candidates must hold an AZ or compact RN license, BLS/NRP, and be willing to orient on floor 2–3 days and rotate with weekends.

• Experience with premature infants, cardiac defects and ECMO preferred.
• Must reside within 50 miles of facility.

Responsabilidades

• Provide direct nursing care to critically ill and premature neonates in a high-acuity NICU.
• Work in an acute care Level 1 trauma hospital NICU with 71 beds.
• Manage patient ratios of 1:2 in ICU and 1:3 in Level 2.
• Utilize Cerner EMR and collaborate with in-house neonatology.
• Complete floor orientation and a Day 1 SIMs lab competency check.
• Cover 7a–7p day shifts with 4 weekend shifts per 4 weeks and holiday coverage.
• Float to Mother Baby and Labor & Delivery as needed.

American Traveler is hiring an experienced NICU RN for a Level III/IV neonatal intensive care unit requiring at least 3 years of experience and NRP certification.

Requirements

• Active AZ or Compact RN license required
• BLS and NRP certifications required
• Minimum 3 years of NICU experience required, Level 3 or 4 NICU background accepted
• BSN not required
• Experience with premature infants, cardiac defects, genetic disorders, surgical cases, ECMO, and cooling therapy preferred
• STABLE certification a plus
• Must complete 2-3 days of floor-specific orientation
• Must pass a Day 1 pass/fail SIMs Lab competency check for Foley catheter insertion, with emphasis on sterile field technique

Responsibilities

• Acute care Level 1 trauma hospital setting in a 71-bed NICU, including 17 stepdown beds
• Level 2 and Level 3/4 NICU patient population
• Patient ratios of 1:2 in ICU and 1:3 in Level 2
• Cerner EMR used
• Charge nurse available with no patient assignment, serving as a high-risk RN resource
• 1 PCT per shift
• 7a-7p day shift schedule
• 4 total weekend shifts (Saturday and Sunday) per 4-week period
• Holiday coverage based on unit needs
• Floating required to Mother Baby and Labor & Delivery (babies only)
• 4 private rooms available
• Neonatologist and midlevel providers in house 24/7
• RT in house 24/7 and manages ventilators
• NICU pharmacy available during the day
• Philips telemetry monitoring
• Provide direct nursing care to critically ill and premature neonates in a high-acuity NICU environment
• Navy scrub color required
• Previous travel experience preferred
• Must reside at least 50 miles from the facility, verified by driver's license
• 12 hours of orientation provided
