American Traveler is seeking a NICU RN for the day shift in a hospital setting. Active CA RN license and NRP certification are required, with BLS also required. Minimum 2 years NICU experience, 3 years for critical care, and recent NICU work in the last 3 months are expected.

Responsibilities

• Work in the Neonatal ICU (NICU) of a hospital setting.
• Day shift schedule, 07:00 AM-07:30 PM, 36-48 hours per week.
• Delivers coordinated nursing care for assigned neonatal patients according to established standards of care and the nursing process.
• Supervises and directs nursing staff activities and coordinates care with other disciplines.
• Collects and analyzes patient assessment data to determine diagnoses and care plans.
• Collaborates with patients, families, and the healthcare team to provide safe, healing care.
• Participates in discharge planning and provides patient/family education.
• Candidates with more than 5 days of requested time off (RTO) will be automatically declined.
• Local candidates accepted with no radius rule; local rates are the same as travel rates.
• Required vaccinations must be completed as a condition of employment, with medical and religious exemptions considered.
