American Traveler is hiring a Travel RN for a Level III NICU position requiring ventilator experience and expertise with 23-40+ week gestation infants on night shift.

Details

• Level III NICU unit with 32 beds and 63 staff members
• Patient ratios of 1:2 or 1:3
• Night shift schedule from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM over a 13-week assignment
• Uses ventilators, oscillators, and Vapotherm equipment
• EMR systems include Centricity Perinatal and Meditech
• Typical procedures include intubations, assisting with eye exams, feeding tube insertions, and IV insertions
• Required to work 3-4 weekends per month
• No on-call responsibilities
• Floating required to Level II NICU and Newborn Nursery

Requirements

• Active TX or compact RN license required
• Current certifications: CPR and NRP (Advanced 9th Edition)
• Minimum 1 year of recent NICU experience required
• Ventilator/oscillator experience required
• Experience caring for 23-40+ week gestation infants required
• CPN charting experience preferred
• US Social Security Number and date of birth required for consideration
• No employment gaps of 90 days or more within the past 12 months

Additional Information

• Care for critically ill neonates ranging from 23-40+ weeks gestation
• Work alongside a team including a charge nurse and unit clerk on night shift
• Scrub color/attire is royal blue
• Must have a collaborative personality and work well with others
• First-time travelers may be considered
• Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility; no local candidates accepted
