American Traveler is hiring a Registered Nurse for a Level IV NICU position in Cincinnati, OH, requiring vent and trach experience and an OH or compact RN license.

Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM, 36 hours per week, 13 weeks with 7 openings. Floating within the hospital and potential to another campus. Epic charting experience preferred.

Description

American Traveler is hiring a Registered Nurse for a Level IV NICU position requiring vent and trach experience and an OH or compact RN license.

Details

Level IV NICU with a regional high acuity Fetal Care Center
High volume of intubated and acute infants requiring specialized care
Patient population includes Respiratory Distress Syndrome, Intraventricular Hemorrhage, Prematurity, Congenital Diaphragmatic Hernia, Bronchopulmonary Dysplasia, Neonatal Abstinence Syndrome, Necrotizing Enterocolitis, Tracheal Esophageal Fistula, Myelomeningocele, Hypoxic Ischemic Encephalopathy, Twin to Twin Transfusion Syndrome, Gastroschisis, Omphalocele, Genetic Defects, Hyperbilirubinemia, Hydrocephalus, Renal Failure, Seizure Disorders, and Pulmonary Hypertension
Utilizes specialized equipment including Nitric Oxide, Servo Ventilators, High Flow Nasal Cannula, RAM Cannula, Bubble CPAP, EVDs, Shunts, G-tubes, Trachs, Giraffe Beds, Moog Feeding Pumps, Arterial Lines, Peritoneal Dialysis, Oscillators, and Bili Lights/Blankets
Night shift schedule, 3x12-hour shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM, every other weekend
Epic charting system preferred
Floating required within the hospital, potentially to another campus

Requirements

Active OH or compact RN license required
BLS and NRP certifications required
Minimum 2 years of experience in the specialty required
Level IV NICU experience required
Vent and trach experience required
Pediatric experience preferred
Supervisor reference within the past 2 years required for consideration

Additional Information

Provide specialized nursing care to high acuity neonatal surgical, gastrointestinal, respiratory, and neurological patients
Candidates residing within 50 miles of the facility will be considered local and subject to local rates
Previous employees of the facility are ineligible to apply for 1 year from their termination date
RTO must be submitted at time of consideration and cannot exceed 5 days total
Additional background check and fingerprinting required onsite on first day, which could impact employment
