Job summary

American Traveler, LLC. is hiring a Wound Care RN for a Monday–Friday day shift in Maryland. Requires active MD RN or compact license, and at least 1 year in wound care with BLS. WOCN/WCC certifications and hospital experience are preferred. Responsibilities include wound care in a hospital unit, patient education, and interdepartmental collaboration.

Qualifications

• Active Maryland RN license or compact RN license in hand
• Current BLS certification
• Minimum 1 year of Wound Care RN experience
• WCC and/or WOCN certifications preferred
• Community hospital experience preferred
• Wound treatments incl. alginates, foams, hydrocolloids, hydrogels, debridement, wound vac therapy preferred
• Ostomy/continence management experience preferred
• Proficient with Braden scale and ABI

Responsibilities

• Wound Care unit within a hospital setting
• Care for patients with acute and chronic wounds, pressure injuries, ostomies, fistulas, surgical drains, and continence disorders
• Treat conditions affecting GI, GU, and integumentary systems
• Day shift, Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM
• No weekend shifts
• Educate, consult, and provide clinical resources to staff, patients, and families
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to improve healing outcomes
• Perform patient/family teaching and infection control practices including isolation precautions and PPE
• Facility is smoke-free
• No radius rule; local candidates accepted at same pay rate
• First-time travelers welcome; RTO requests reviewed case-by-case

American Traveler is hiring a Wound Care RN with a Maryland or compact RN license and at least 1 year of wound care experience for a Monday-Friday day shift assignment.

Requirements

• Active Maryland RN license or compact RN license required in hand


• Current BLS certification required


• Minimum 1 year of Wound Care RN experience required


• WCC (Wound Care Certified) and/or WOCN (Wound, Ostomy & Continence Nurse) certification preferred


• Community hospital experience preferred


• Skilled in wound treatments including alginates, foams, hydrocolloids, hydrogels, debridement techniques, and wound vac therapy preferred


• Experience with ostomy and continence management, including catheter care and incontinence programs preferred


• Proficient in ulcer and wound assessment tools such as Braden scale and ABI preferred

• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to improve healing outcomes and patient education


• Perform patient/family teaching and infection control practices including isolation precautions and PPE use
