Job summary

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Wound Care Center position in California. CA RN license and BLS are required. BSN preferred or 1–2 years wound care experience, with med-surg/home health or wound care background encouraged.

The role is hospital-based, with a fixed 8-hour shift (7:00 AM–3:30 PM) and travel-rate eligibility. Candidates must be able to work holidays, call-backs, weeknights, weekends, and on-call shifts, and participate in disaster response as per state law.

Qualifications

• Active CA RN license required at time of consideration.
• BLS certification required.
• Wound care certification preferred.
• Bachelor's degree from a 4-year college or university preferred (BSN) or 1–2 years of wound care experience.
• Med surg, home health, or wound care experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Work in a hospital-based Wound Care Center.
• 8-hour day shift, 40 hours per week (7:00 AM - 3:30 PM).
• Floating not required.
• Provide patient care in the Wound Care Center including organizing, planning, implementing, and evaluating care per hospital and nursing standards.
• Must be available to work scheduled hours including holidays, call-backs, weeknights, weekends, and on-call shifts.
• Participate in emergency and community disaster response as a designated disaster service worker per the California Emergency Services Act.
• Must reside outside a 50 mile radius of the facility to qualify for travel rates.
• Previous permanent employees of the facility are not eligible for this travel assignment.
• First-time travelers are not considered for this position.
