American Traveler, LLC. is seeking a Med/Surg Tele RN for a night shift position in South Carolina. Must hold SC or compact RN license and have EPIC EMR experience. BLS, ACLS, NIHSS certifications required, with at least 2 years in the specialty and 1 year in EPIC EMR.

The role involves 3x12 hour nights, telemetry monitoring, and potential float to related units. Travel pay varies by distance, with housing and benefits available.

Qualifications

• Active SC or compact RN license required.
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in the specialty; 3 years for first-time travelers.
• At least 1 year of EPIC EMR experience required.
• Skilled in IV therapy/phlebotomy, blood product administration, central and peripheral line care, cardiac monitoring, and dysrhythmia interpretation and management.

Responsibilities

• Med/Surg Telemetry unit caring for orthopedic and bariatric patients.
• Night shift schedule: 3x12 hours, 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM.
• Patient ratio of 1:5–6.
• Uses Pyxis medication dispensing system and EPIC EMR.
• Float to similar units or nearby hospitals based on census.
• Provide telemetry monitoring and emergency response for cardiac patients.
• Perform EKG testing, oxygen administration, and isolation PPE protocols.
• Orientation held every Monday with annual compliance training.
• Pre-assignment testing and modules must be completed within 48 hours of receiving login credentials.
• Must reside more than 100 miles from any facility within the health system for full travel pay; mileage tiers apply.
• Night shift travelers must live 50+ miles from the contracted campus; mileage tiers apply.
