Job summary

American Traveler, LLC. is seeking a Med Surg/Telemetry RN for a night shift in Illinois. Candidates must hold an IL RN license and an IA license (or compact) and have oncology experience, plus 2 years Med Surg and Telemetry.

This hospital-based role uses Epic EMR, requires BLS, and includes a 12-hour, 6:30 PM–7:00 AM schedule with every-other weekend. Travel and licensure reimbursements, generous housing, and benefits accompany the assignment.

Qualifications

• Active IL RN license required at time of consideration.
• IA RN license also required, or proof of IA single-state or compact license application.
• 2 years of Med Surg and Telemetry experience required.
• Some oncology experience required.
• BLS certification (AHA) required.
• Epic EMR experience required.
• Valid driver's license required.
• Current resume/work history required.
• Skills checklist completed within 1 year required.
• One supervisory reference within 2 years of employment/contract required.

Responsibilities

• Med/Surg Oncology unit within a hospital setting.
• Patient population includes medical, oncology, and neuro cases.
• Night shift, 12-hour shifts from 6:30 PM to 7:00 AM, 3x12 schedule.
• Every other weekend required.
• No on-call requirements.
• May be required to float within the same discipline across local campuses.
• Uses Epic EMR.
• Provide professional nursing care as part of an interdisciplinary team.
• Facility is a Level 1 trauma center.
• Holiday coverage required, working 2 of 3 winter holidays (Christmas, New Year's, Thanksgiving).
• Limited time-off requests permitted during winter holiday periods.
• Candidates previously employed by the facility within the past 12 months may not be eligible.
• Must have a taxable address outside of 50 miles from the facility.
