American Traveler is hiring a Med/Surg Tele RN for a 41-bed Cardiac Telemetry/Progressive/Respiratory Care unit in Kentucky. Candidates must hold a KY or compact RN license and meet certification requirements.

The assignment is 36 hours per week across three 12-hour shifts, lasting 13 weeks. The role involves direct patient care, assessments, treatments, and coordination through all phases of the nursing process, with a focus on telemetry and interdisciplinary collaboration.

Qualifications

• Active, unrestricted RN license (KY or compact) required.
• BLS certification required.
• NIHSS certification required.
• ACLS certification required within 6 months of start.
• ADN or ASN required, BSN preferred.
• No prior nursing experience required, though preferred.

Responsibilities

• 41-bed inpatient Cardiac Telemetry/Progressive/Respiratory Care unit.
• Cares for medical and surgical patients with cardiac dysrhythmia, respiratory illness, and altered hemodynamics requiring telemetry monitoring.
• Day shift schedule, 0700-1930.
• 36 hours per week over three 12-hour shifts.
• 13-week assignment length.
• Provide direct patient care including assessments, treatments, and care coordination through all phases of the nursing process.
• Facilitate admission, transfer, and discharge activities including patient and family education.
• Delegate and oversee tasks performed by other care team members.
• Participate in unit-based quality improvement activities such as monitoring patient falls, pressure ulcers, and CAUTIs.
• Collaborate closely with an interdisciplinary care team to support a healing, patient-centered environment
