Job summary

American Traveler is seeking a Med/Surg Tele RN for a float pool in Kentucky. An active KY or compact RN license and BLS are required; ADN/ASN is required with BSN preferred. First-time travelers are welcome.

You will provide direct care for Med/Surg and Telemetry patients, float between units as census dictates, perform assessments and rounds, and support admissions, transfers and discharges with patient education. Shift is evenings: 3x12-hour shifts (7 PM–7 AM), 36 hours weekly.

Qualifications

• Active, unrestricted RN license (KY or compact) required
• BLS certification required
• ADN or ASN required, BSN preferred
• No prior experience required, though previous nursing experience is preferred

Responsibilities

• Hospital-based Med/Surg Telemetry care
• Float between hospital units based on census and need
• Evening shift schedule of 3x12-hour shifts, 7PM-7AM, 36 hours per week
• Provide direct patient care including assessments, treatments, and nursing rounds for Med/Surg and Telemetry patients
• Facilitate admission, transfer, and discharge activities along with patient and family education
• Collaborate with interprofessional care team members and delegate tasks appropriately
• Participate in unit-based quality improvement activities and core measures
