Job summary

American Traveler is seeking a Med/Surg Tele RN for a high acuity floor in New Hampshire. Must have 2+ years MS/Tele experience and an active NH or compact RN license. BLS, NIHSS, and ACLS are required; Dysrhythmia exam onboarding score preferred at 80%.

The 20-bed unit supports diagnoses like PNA, COPD, GI bleed, osteomyelitis, and renal failure. Shifts are 12 hours (7p–7a), three nights per week, with 36 guaranteed hours and potential float to Concord Hospital locations.

Qualifications

• Active NH or Compact RN license required at time of consideration.
• Minimum 2 years of Med/Surg/Telemetry experience.
• BLS required, NIHSS prior to start and ACLS.
• Cerner EMR experience preferred but not required.
• Must complete a Dysrhythmia Exam during onboarding with a preferred score of 80%.
• Driver's license with address matching demographics required.
• NURSYS report and verification of all active RN licenses required.

Responsibilities

• Care for high-acuity Med/Surg/Telemetry patients on a 20-bed unit.
• Maintain patient ratios of 1:5 (sometimes 1:6).
• Manage diagnoses including PNA, COPD, GI bleed, diabetes-related issues, and complex conditions.
• Work 12-hour night shifts, 7p–7a, three shifts per week.
• Guaranteed 36 hours per week with potential to float to Concord Hospital locations.
• Provide care for medically complex patients on a high-acuity unit; holiday coverage.
• Participate in weekly orientation; local candidates with local pay within 50 miles may apply.
• Returning perm staff may apply as travelers after a 12-month break.

• Common diagnoses include PNA, COPD exacerbation, GI bleed, osteomyelitis, diabetic foot infections, hepatic encephalopathy, renal failure, bowel obstruction, end of life, and wounds
• 12-hour night shifts, 7p-7a, three shifts per week
• 36 guaranteed hours per week
• May be required to float to Concord Hospital-Laconia or Concord Hospital-Franklin locations
• No on-call requirements
• Provide care for medically complex patients on a high acuity Med Surg/Respiratory Care unit
• Holiday coverage is required
• Weekly orientation provided
• First-time travelers welcome to apply
• Local candidates accepted with a local rate for those within 50 miles
• Radius rule of 50 miles determines eligibility for standard travel pay rate
• Returning perm staff eligible to apply as travelers after a 12-month break in service
