Job summary

American Traveler, LLC. seeks a Night Shift RN for the ACE Med/Surg Tele unit in South Carolina. Requires 1+ year of MS/Tele experience and an SC or compact RN license. Night shifts are 3x12-hour blocks from 19:00 to 07:30, with every other weekend and holidays as required.

The 26-bed ACE unit delivers telemetry-capable care to seniors, staffed by geriatric-focused nurses and a multidisciplinary team to support mobility, recovery, and discharge readiness.

Qualifications

• Active SC or compact RN license required
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required (NIHSS preferred)
• Minimum 1 year of MS/Tele experience required
• Minimum 1 year of EPIC EMR experience required
• Experience with remote telemetry monitoring and heparin protocols
• Proficient in geriatric-focused care

Responsibilities

• Work in the Acute Care for the Elderly (ACE) Med/Surg Tele unit within a hospital setting
• 26-bed unit providing telemetry-capable care for hospitalized patients aged 65 and older
• Staffed by Geriatric Resource Nurses focused on preserving cognitive and physical function
• Patient ratio of 1:5
• Night shift schedule, 3x12-hour shifts (19:00-7:30)
• Every other weekend required
• Floating to other qualified units or campuses required based on census needs
• Provide telemetry-capable nursing care to geriatric patients, focusing on mobility, recovery, and reducing length of stay
• Work alongside a multidisciplinary team dedicated to helping patients return to their pre-admission baseline
• Must work 2 of the 3 designated holidays
• Locals accepted; radius rules apply for travel eligibility
• Pre-assignment testing and compliance modules required within 48 hours of receiving login credentials
• Orientation held every Monday

Requirements

• Active SC or multistate compact RN license required
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required (NIHSS preferred)
• Minimum 1 year of recent MS/Tele experience required
• Minimum 1 year of EPIC EMR experience required
• Skilled in IV starts, blood product administration, and central/peripheral/PICC line management
• Proficient in dysrhythmia interpretation and management
• Experience with remote telemetry monitoring and heparin protocols
• Proficient in geriatric-focused care
