Job summary

American Traveler is seeking a Med/Surg/Telemetry RN for a night shift at a Critical Access Hospital, with occasional floating to the ED. 3x12hr nights, 36hrs/week (48hrs/week option), EOW, 13-week assignment and no on-call requirements.

Active NH or Compact RN license with BLS, ACLS and PALS is required, plus at least 2 years Med/Surg experience and CAH background. BSN preferred; travel and charge nurse experience are a plus. Housing is available and planning early is advised.

Qualifications

• Active RN license NH or Compact required.
• Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications.
• Minimum 2 years Med/Surg experience.
• Critical Access Hospital experience required.
• BSN highly preferred.
• Previous charge nurse experience preferred.
• Previous travel nursing experience preferred.
• Med Surg skills checklist required.
• One supervisory signed reference from the past year of employment required.

Responsibilities

• Med/Surg unit at a Critical Access Hospital with occasional floating to the Emergency Department.
• 3x12hr Night shifts, 7:00 PM-7:00 AM, 36hrs/week with a 48hrs/week option available.
• Every other weekend (EOW) requirement.
• No on-call requirements.
• 13-week assignment.
• Provide direct patient care in a Med/Surg setting with possible telemetry monitoring.
• May be required to float to the Emergency Department as needed.
• Local candidates not accepted; permanent address must be 50+ miles from the facility.
• Housing in the area can be challenging, so early planning is recommended.
• No more than 5 days of requested time off (RTO) permitted during the assignment.
