Job summary

American Traveler, LLC. is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Tele position in Ohio. Active OH or compact RN license required along with current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications.

Minimum 12 months of permanent Med/Surg Tele experience and a professional reference. The assignment involves working in a hospital Med/Surg Tele unit with potential float to J1-2, J33 and ED. Day/Night 3x12 hour shifts, 7pm-7:30am or 7am-7:30pm; holidays may be required.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Work in the Med/Surg Tele unit of a hospital.
• Potential to float to units J1-2, J33 and the Emergency Department.
• Day/Night rotating 3x12 shifts, 7pm-7:30am or 7am-7:30pm.
• Shifts may be adjusted to hospital needs; holidays may be required.
• Provide nursing care, monitor patients, and rhythm recognition.

Job description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Tele position requiring an active OH or compact RN license and specialty experience.

Requirements

• Active OH RN license or compact license in hand
• Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS
• Minimum of 12 months of permanent experience in Med/Surg Tele required
• One professional reference from a manager, ANM, supervisor, or director in the specialty required, from an assignment within the past 12 months
• COVID-19 vaccine required (medical/religious exemptions only)
• Flu vaccine required (medical/religious exemptions only)

Responsibilities

• Work in the Med/Surg Tele unit of a hospital environment
• Potential to float to units J1-2, J33 and the Emergency Department to care for the same patient population
• Day/Night rotating shift schedule (3x12 hours), 7pm-7:30am or 7am-7:30pm
• Shifts may be adjusted to meet operational needs of the hospital, though preferred shift will be honored when possible
• Required to work at least every other holiday
• Provide nursing care to Med/Surg Tele patients, including monitoring and rhythm recognition
• ECG rhythm recognition test and safeMedicate assessment completed during orientation, with an acceptable score required on both
• Candidates will have a maximum of two attempts to pass these assessments
• Local candidates accepted at the same bill rate
• Permanent or per diem candidates cannot return to this health system for 1 year from their previous end date
• All RTO must be discussed and finalized during the interview process
