Job summary
American Traveler Staffing Professionals is seeking an experienced Travel RN for Med/Surg Tele at a Level I Trauma Center in Tennessee. The role requires prior travel experience, TN or compact RN licensure, and 2+ years of Med/Surg Tele experience; BLS and NIHSS are required.
Day shifts are 7:00 AM–7:00 PM, 4x12s, with on-call and weekend coverage as needed. Likely to involve a 1:12 nurse-patient ratio, with travel assignments and eligibility based on credentialing.
Qualifications
- Active TN or compact RN license required
- Minimum 2 years of Med/Surg Tele experience required, 3+ years preferred
- Level I Trauma Center experience required
- Large hospital experience required
- Must have completed at least 1 prior travel assignment
- BLS and NIHSS certifications required
- ADN accepted for this position
- Cerner EMR experience preferred
- Skills required: IV starts
Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care within a team nursing model on a busy Med/Surg Tele unit
- Must reside at least 100 miles from the facility to be considered
- If holidays fall within assignment, work as required
- Floating may occur between units and campuses within a 20-mile radius

- Team nursing model with a 1:12 patient ratio, split among 2 RNs, an LPN, and a Med Nurse
- Day shift, 4x12 hours (7:00 AM - 7:00 PM)
- On-call and weekend coverage required as needed
- Weekend block scheduling may be considered, to be discussed during interview
- Floating may occur between like units and campuses within a 20-mile radius
- Active TN or compact RN license required, compliant with NLC guidelines
- Minimum 2 years of recent Med/Surg Tele experience required, 3+ years preferred
- Level I Trauma Center experience required
- Large hospital experience required
- Must have completed at least 1 prior travel assignment

- First-time travelers are not accepted unless they have 5+ years of specialty experience
- All requested time off must be submitted with the initial application; RTO requested after an offer will not be honored
