Job summary

American Traveler is hiring a Med/Surg RN for an Ortho/Neuro unit in Denver, CO. Requires CO or compact RN license and at least one year of recent ortho or med/surg experience.

Day shift 7:00 AM–7:00 PM on a 13-week assignment. Magnet-designated hospital with strong collaboration and engagement. Must reside outside a 50-mile radius; local candidates will not be considered.

Qualifications

• Active RN license, CO or compact required.
• Minimum 1 year of recent Ortho RN or Med/Surg experience in a hospital.
• BLS certification required.
• ACLS certification preferred.
• Ortho/Spine experience preferred.
• No employment gaps of 90 days or more within the past 12 months.
• US SSN and DOB required for consideration.

Responsibilities

• Ortho/Neuro unit (Pav2/Pavilion) within a hospital setting.
• 36-bed unit staffed with 27 team members including charge RN, techs, and secretary support.
• RN to patient ratio of 5:1 and tech ratio of 8-12 patients per tech.
• Common procedures include total joint replacements (knee, hip, shoulder) and spine surgery.
• Uses immobilizers, braces, and cold treatment equipment.
• Meditech EMR used.
• Day shift schedule from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM.
• 13-week assignment length.
• Provide direct patient care for ortho and neuro surgical patients, including total joint and spine surgery recovery.
• Join a Magnet-designated hospital recognized as one of Denver's Best Places to Work for four consecutive years.
• Team known for strong collaboration, positive outcomes, and high employee engagement.
