Travel RN - Med/Surg - Orthopedics

Description

American Traveler is hiring a Med/Surg-Ortho RN for a night shift assignment requiring at least 1 year of recent Ortho/M-S hospital experience and an active CO or compact RN license.

Details

Ortho/Neuro unit (Pavilion 2) within a hospital setting with 36 beds and approximately 27 staff
RN to patient ratio of 5:1, with techs supporting 8-12 patients each
Day shift staffed with 1 charge RN, RNs to volume, 1-2 techs, and 1 secretary; night shift staffed with 1 charge RN, RNs to volume, and 1-2 techs
Unit performs total joint procedures (knee, hip, shoulder) and spine surgery
Uses immobilizers, braces, and cold treatment equipment
Night shift schedule from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM

Requirements

Active RN license (CO or compact) required
BLS certification required
ACLS certification preferred
Minimum 1 year of current Ortho RN or Med/Surg experience in a hospital setting required
Ortho/Spine experience preferred
No gaps in work history equaling 90 days or more within the past 12 months
US Social Security Number and date of birth required for consideration (no Canadian SSN accepted)
One professional reference required (two references required for Florida and Missouri candidates)
