Job summary

American Traveler, LLC. is hiring an Outpatient Oncology Clinic RN for a day shift position in Washington. Requires BLS and an active RN license in hand, with at least 1 year of oncology experience and chemotherapy administration certification. Epic EMR experience is used for charting.

Candidates should reside within 50 miles of the facility. The role includes 4x9.5 hour shifts, benefits, and potential travel to other campuses within the health system.

Qualifications

• Active WA or compact RN license in hand at time of consideration.
• BLS certification is required.
• Chemotherapy administration competency required
• Minimum 1 year of oncology nursing experience required.
• IV therapy, infusion management, and port access/care.
• Experience with central line and PICC line care.
• Competency in managing oncologic emergencies (ATLS, anaphylaxis, extravasation, hemorrhage, sepsis, cord compression).
• Phlebotomy skills preferred.
• Two supervisory references covering at least 1 year of employment within the last 3 years are required.

Responsibilities

• Work in outpatient oncology clinic setting at a hospital-affiliated campus.
• 4x9.5 hour day shifts, 8:00 AM to 5:30 PM.
• No weekends; one varying weekday off each week.
• May float to other campuses within the health system.
• Use Epic EMR for documentation.
• Provide direct patient care including chemotherapy administration and infusion.
• Monitor and respond to oncologic emergencies and abnormal labs.
• Commit to working 3 of 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year’s Eve, New Year’s Day).
• Residents must live within 50 miles of the facility; local candidates accepted at a lower bill rate.
• Former employees may return as travelers after a 3-month separation, if not within 50 miles.
• Submit all RTO and scheduling requests upfront; post-offer requests may not be accommodated.
• Travelers may float between sister facilities within the system.
