Job summary

American Traveler, LLC. is seeking a Med/Surg Oncology RN for a hospital assignment in Billings, MT. The role requires an active MT or compact RN license and at least one year of Med/Surg Oncology experience.

Night shift, 12-hour shifts, 3 days per week (36 hours). May float to other units within scope, and may be placed on-call. Epic EMR for charting; background check and drug screen are required prior to start.

Qualifications

• Active RN license (MT or compact) required, no pending licenses accepted.
• ASN required; BSN preferred.
• BLS certification through American Heart Association required and must not expire prior to start.
• ACLS, NRP, or PALS certification as appropriate for the unit or service.
• Minimum 1 year of experience in Med/Surg Oncology required.
• Date of birth and last 4 digits of SSN required for consideration.

Responsibilities

• Med/Surg Oncology unit in a hospital setting.
• Night shift, 12-hour shifts, 3 days per week (36 hours/week).
• May be required to float to other departments within scope of competency and qualifications.
• May be placed on-call during a regularly scheduled shift.
• Epic EMR used for charting.
• Perform independent nursing functions and delegated medical functions in accordance with state Board of Nursing practice standards.
• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care, including health teaching and counseling.
• Document care in accordance with hospital and regulatory guidelines.
• Review and monitor therapy and treatment plans, referring patients for further evaluation as needed.
• Allow at least 2 weeks for background check and drug screen results prior to start.
• Returning employees must be separated from any Intermountain facility for at least one year before being eligible for a travel assignment.
