American Traveler, LLC. is hiring a WI or compact licensed RN for a Long Term Care Med/Surg position with weekend day/PM shift requirements. The role involves providing direct patient care in a nursing home setting using Meditech EMR.

The assignment is a 13-week contract with weekend PM and day rotations, including 14-hour shifts. Strong attention to accuracy, communication with physicians and families, and adherence to the 5 Rights of medication administration are essential.

Qualifications

• Active WI or compact RN license required.
• Current BLS/CPR certification required.
• Two-year nursing degree required, four-year degree preferred.
• Less than 1 year of experience required, 1+ years preferred.
• Exceptional accuracy and attention to detail required.

Responsibilities

• Long Term Care/Nursing Home setting.
• Uses Meditech EMR.
• 13-week contract assignment.
• Weekend PM/day rotating shift schedule with 14-hour shifts (2pm-10:30pm and 6am-8:30pm).
• Holiday coverage required.
• Communicate significant changes in resident condition to physicians and families in a timely manner.
• Complete resident assessments and medication administration following the 5 Rights.
• Perform wound care and assessments as needed.
• Assist CNAs and monitor residents for changes in condition.
• Act as a leader on the floor, assessing and directing situations as needed.
• Report allegations of abuse, neglect, or misappropriation to the Director of Nursing and Administrator.
• Maintain accurate and thorough resident charting.
