Job summary

American Traveler is seeking an RN for a Long Term Care/Skilled Nursing Facility in North Dakota. The role requires an active ND or compact license and at least 2 years of RN experience in LTC, with no current employment at CommonSpirit-affiliated facilities.

BLS is required, and a driver’s license copy is needed. You will work 12-hour day shifts (7a-7p) with every other weekend, in a 26-bed unit, handling wound care, medications, and resident assessments.

Qualifications

• Active ND or Compact (NLC) RN license required; pending licenses not accepted.
• Current BLS certification required.
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required.
• Prior LTC experience required.
• Candidates must not be employed full time, part time, or PRN with any CommonSpirit-affiliated facility.
• Driver's license copy required for consideration.

Responsibilities

• Long Term Care/Skilled Nursing Facility setting with 26 beds/residents.
• Patient population includes heart disease, diabetes, and dementia diagnoses.
• Nurse-to-resident ratios are 1:10 on days and 1:19 on nights.
• 12-hour day shifts from 7a-7p with every other weekend required.
• No blocked scheduling or self-scheduling; collaboration with DON and team.
• No IVs, titratable drips, or telemetry monitoring on this unit.
• No on-call or floating requirements; off-site pharmacy with medication dispensing.
• Nurse functions as charge nurse; administers medications and wound care.
• Oxygen therapy equipment includes concentrators and portable concentrators.
• Don oversees the unit; holiday coverage required for major holidays.

• Nurse functions as charge nurse, administers medications, and performs wound care
• No clinical involvement beyond standard LTC duties
• No rehab beds on this unit; only LTC care is provided
• RNs are not required to attend team conferences for acute inpatient rehab
• DON oversees the unit; no additional supervisors on staff
• Dress code requires clean and presentable attire with no specific scrub color
• 2-3 shifts of unit/department-specific orientation provided
• Holiday coverage required for every other major holiday
• Must reside at least 50 miles from the facility
• Upfront RTO must be 7 days or less per 13-week contract; additional RTO will not be approved
