American Traveler is hiring an RN for an Outpatient Infusion position in Omaha, NE. Requires 2+ years of experience and NE or compact licensure. A/BLS is required; chemo certification is highly preferred.

You will work day shifts, see about 50 patients daily, and be part of a 6-7 RN team in a Level I acute care setting. Housing and travel reimbursements are offered along with non-taxed per diem and other travel perks.

• Minimum 2 years of nursing experience is required.
• Chemo certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Work in Outpatient Infusion Therapy in an acute care hospital setting.
• Typically about 50 patients per day with 6-7 RNs staffed.
• Day shift: Monday-Friday with 8-hour starts (mostly 9:00-5:30).
• No on-call requirements.
• Administer infusions, including chemo, antibiotics, blood products, iron, and fluids.
• Perform various injection procedures.
• Complete orientation skills pass/fail exam with 90% to pass.
• Artificial nails are prohibited in patient care areas.
• Must reside at least 50 miles from the facility.
• 12 hours of orientation provided.

• High preference for chemo-certified nurses
• Must not have been employed full time, part time, or PRN with any CommonSpirit-associated facility (including CHI and/or Dignity) within the past year

Responsibilities

• Outpatient Infusion Therapy unit in an acute care, Level 1 trauma hospital setting
• Approximately 50 patients seen per day with 6-7 RNs typically staffed
• Day shift schedule, Monday-Friday, with varying 8-hour shift start/end times (mostly 9:00-5:30)
• No call requirements
• Uses EPIC EMR system
• Administer infusions including chemotherapy, antibiotics, blood products, iron, and fluids
• Perform various injection procedures
• Complete a pass/fail, open-book skills exam during orientation requiring a 90% score to pass
• Artificial nails are prohibited in all patient care departments
• Must reside at least 50 miles from the facility
• 12 hours of orientation provided
