Job summary

American Traveler is seeking a Hospice RN for an in-home role serving Spokane, WA. The position requires skilled hospice or home health experience and proficiency with HCHB charting. A Monday–Friday 8:00am–4:30pm schedule with 1:1 patient care is offered, with up to six visits daily and no on-call requirements.

Candidates must have an active WA license, current BLS, and reliable transportation for visits. EPIC and HCHB experience are required; travel reimbursements are provided.

Qualifications

• Active WA or compact RN license
• Current BLS certification
• Minimum 1 year of skilled hospice or home health experience
• HCHB (Home Care Home Base) experience
• Triage experience

Responsibilities

• Provide in-home hospice nursing care in Spokane, WA and surrounding areas
• Day shift, Monday–Friday, 8:00am–4:30pm
• 1:1 patient ratio, up to 6 visits per day
• No weekend or on-call requirements
• Uses EPIC and HCHB charting systems (laptop provided)
• Provide symptom assessment, medication management, and end-of-life support
• Deliver patient and family education, and perideath care as needed
• Free parking with IRS mileage reimbursement for travel between visits
• Local candidates within 50–75 mile radius at standard rate
• Returning former employees may be eligible after 3 months
• Must commit to 3 of 5 major holidays
• RTO requests confirmed with hiring manager

• Current BLS certification required
• Minimum 1 year of skilled hospice or home health experience required
• HCHB (Home Care Home Base) experience required
• Triage experience required
• Must have reliable personal transportation for home visits
• Skills in symptom management, end-of-life care, pain management, and patient/family education required

Responsibilities

• Home Health/Hospice setting providing in-home patient care across Spokane, WA and surrounding areas
• Day shift schedule, Monday through Friday, 8-hour shifts (8:00am-4:30pm)
• 1:1 patient ratio, visiting up to 6 patients per day
• No weekend or on-call requirements
• No floating between like units required
• Uses EPIC and HCHB charting systems (laptop provided)
• Facility may cancel up to one shift per pay period
• Provide skilled hospice nursing care to patients in their homes, including symptom assessment, medication management, and end-of-life support
• Deliver patient and family education, death pronouncement, and perideath care as needed
• Any basic color scrubs permitted
• Free parking available, with IRS standard mileage reimbursement for travel between patient visits
• First-time travelers are not accepted for this role
• Local candidates accepted within a 50-75 mile radius at the standard rate
• Returning former employees may be eligible after a 3-month waiting period
• Must commit to working 3 of 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)
• RTO requests should be confirmed with the hiring manager prior to submission
