Job summary

American Traveler is seeking an RN for a Med/Surg Float Pool assignment in Massachusetts. This role covers five Med/Surg/Telemetry units, requires strong telemetry skills, and proficiency with EPIC and Meditech IV. You will work night 12-hour shifts (36 hours weekly) with every other weekend and holiday.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of float pool experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Float pool covering 5 Med/Surg/Tele units.
• Night shift, 12-hour shifts, 36 hours per week.
• Every other weekend and every other holiday required.
• Uses Meditech IVs and EPIC EMR systems.
• Must independently read telemetry strips.
• Adapt quickly to changing unit assignments.
• Provide Med/Surg/Tele nursing care while floating across 5 units.
• No extended RTO permitted during the assignment.
• Most Fridays will be required to work.
• No specific schedule requests accommodated.
• Candidates residing within 50 miles of the facility will be considered local.

Requirements

• Active MA RN license required
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
• Minimum 2 years of recent acute care experience required
• Telemetry and Meditech IV experience required
• EPIC EMR experience required
• 3-5 years of previous float pool experience preferred
• Must pass an on-site telemetry exam on Day 1 with a score of 84% or better (2 attempts allowed)
• Must be able to adapt quickly to different clinical units
