Job summary

American Traveler, LLC. is hiring a Med/Surg Float Pool RN with at least 2 years of acute care experience and Cerner EMR proficiency. The position supports multiple acute care units in a fast-paced environment and requires a TN or compact RN license, BLS, and strong references.

Shifts are three 12-hour days, with a 6:45 AM start, no on-call duties, and generous housing and travel reimbursements. Travel and local candidates are welcome to apply.

Qualifications

• Active, unencumbered TN or compact RN license in hand at time of consideration.
• BLS certification required
• Minimum 2 years of experience in a comparable acuity hospital setting required
• Two professional references required for consideration

Responsibilities

• Acute care float with unit assignments determined by nursing supervisor.
• Floats across multiple units including Medical, Surgery/GI, Trauma, Oncology, Nephrology, Orthopedics, Neuro, Cardiac, and other acute care units.
• Day shift schedule of three 12-hour shifts from 6:45 AM to 7:15 PM, with a 30-minute lunch break.
• Typical patient ratio of 1:6, varying according to need.
• Requires working every other weekend; no on-call responsibilities.
• Provide direct patient care across assigned units as directed by nursing supervisors.
• Royal blue scrubs required.
• First-time travelers will be considered; local candidates accepted at the same rate.
• Travelers in good standing are eligible to return; travel pairs are permitted
