Job summary

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an Acute Care Float Pool position in Arkansas. The role requires stepdown experience and night shifts (4x12s, 19:00–07:00). You may cover ER holds, overflow units, adult/geriatric psych, and inpatient rehab units, with pediatric coverage based on RN experience.

Active AR or Compact RN license, BLS, ACLS/PALS preferred, 2+ years of experience, BSN preferred. Cerner charting experience and prior travel nursing are favored.

Qualifications

• Active RN license in Arkansas or Compact state and in good standing.
• BLS certification required; ACLS and PALS preferred.
• Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience.
• Stepdown experience required; critical care experience preferred.
• Graduate of an accredited nursing school; BSN preferred.
• Cerner charting experience preferred.
• Previous travel nursing experience strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Float pool position supporting ER hold, overflow units, adult and geriatric psych, and inpatient rehab units.
• May be responsible for pediatric patients when floated to the ER depending on RN experience.
• Night shift schedule, 4x12 hour shifts from 19:00-7:00.
• 36 or 48 hours per week considered.
• Provide direct patient care and leadership within the nursing team using the nursing process to assess, diagnose, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care.
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to promote evidence-based care through a shared governance model.
• Position is designated safety sensitive under Arkansas Act 593 governing medical marijuana.
• Facility conducts its own drug screening upon arrival, including marijuana; candidates should avoid any substances that could result in a positive result.
• Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility as local candidates are not accepted.
