Job summary

UPMC System Float Team is seeking a Registered Nurse with Medical-Surgical and Emergency Department experience to join our internal travel staffing pool. The role rotates to different UPMC facilities approximately every six weeks, enabling care across multiple locations while expanding clinical skills.

Eligible for a sign-on bonus with a two-year commitment; current UPMC employees are not eligible. Guaranteed hours, competitive compensation, and travel incentives are included within a premier

Qualifications

Must hold an active RN license in the appropriate state.
BSN preferred or obtained within a reasonable timeframe.
Experience as a float nurse or in Medical-Surgical/ED settings is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

Provide high-quality nursing care in assigned UPMC facilities and units.
Rotate assignments approximately every six weeks.
Communicate patient status and changes clearly with physicians and the healthcare team.
Follow hospital policies, infection control practices, and patient safety standards.
Support patient education and participate in discharge planning.
Collaborate across care teams and participate in ongoing professional development.
