Job summary

American Traveler is hiring an Outpatient Clinic RN for a Colorectal Surgery clinic in Washington, requiring 1 year of ambulatory nursing experience and a WA or compact RN license. The RN will work with a physician to manage a shared patient panel in a busy outpatient setting.

Responsibilities include rooming patients, vitals, triage, medication refills, and coordinating colonoscopies, with travel to satellite sites as needed. Schedule is Mon-Fri, 8:30-5:00, no weekends or holidays.

Qualifications

• Active WA or compact RN license required, must be in hand at time of consideration.
• BLS certification required.
• Minimum 1 year of ambulatory/primary care nursing experience required.
• Epic EMR experience required.
• Skills in assisting with procedures such as burn care, dressing changes, mole removal, nebulizer treatments, pap smears, skin biopsies, splinting, stitches, and suture removal.
• Experience with sterile/aseptic procedure tray setup preferred.
• 2 supervisory references covering 1 year of employment within the last 3 years in a comparable specialty/setting required.
• Full SSN and DOB required for consideration.

Responsibilities

• RN is paired with a physician to provide all clinical care for a shared patient panel.
• Duties include rooming patients, vitals, telephone triage, medication refills, FMLA and imaging authorization support, scheduling colonoscopies and office visits.
• Assists with minor office procedures and exams, performs high level disinfection (HLD), and cleans/stocks exam rooms.
• Provides post-op calls, surgery teaching, and guidance to MA staff.
• Travels with physician to satellite clinic sites via provided transportation.
• Schedule is Monday-Friday, 8:30 AM-5:00 PM with no weekends, call, or holidays.
• Does not float mid-shift, though floating between sister facilities may be expected.
• First-time travelers and new grads are welcome to apply.
• Position may offer opportunity to convert to a permanent role.
• Former Providence perm staff must wait at least 3 months before returning as a travelers and must reside more than 50 miles from the facility.
• Local candidates accepted at a lower bill rate
• Radius requirement of 50 miles for eligibility as a non-local candidate
• Must commit to working 3 of 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year’s Eve, New Year’s Day)
• RTO requests must be submitted upfront during the application process, as post-offer time off requests may not be accommodated
• Candidates should disclose any prior work history at Providence facilities, including permanent, travel, or registry/per-diem roles
