Job summary

American Traveler is hiring a Med/Surg RN for a 13-week night shift assignment in Montana. The RN must hold an MT or compact license and have 1 year of Med/Surg experience, with BLS, ACLS/PALS as required by the unit, and EPIC EMR experience preferred.

RTO is flexible. The role includes hospital-based care, charting in Epic, and potential float to other departments. Applicants should be prepared for a structured onboarding and state nursing standards compliance.

Qualifications

• Active MT license required.

• ASN required; BSN preferred.
• 1 year Med/Surg experience required.
• Epic EMR experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide med/surg nursing care in a hospital setting.
• Night shift, 12-hour shifts, 3 days per week (36 hours).
• Use Epic for charting.
• May float to other departments within competency scope.
• May be placed on-call during shifts.
• Perform nursing functions per state Board of Nursing standards.
• Assess, plan, implement and evaluate patient care.
• Health teaching and patient referrals as needed.
• Review and monitor therapy and treatment plans.
• Document care per hospital and regulatory guidelines.

Requirements

• Active MT or compact RN license required
• BLS certification from American Heart Association required
• ACLS and/or PALS required as appropriate for unit
• ASN required; BSN preferred
• 1 year of experience in Med/Surg specialty required
• Epic EMR experience preferred
• Date of birth and last 4 digits of SSN required for consideration

Responsibilities

• Med Surg unit within a hospital setting
• Night shift, 12-hour shifts, 3 days per week (36 hours/week)
• Uses Epic for charting
• May be required to float to other departments based on business need within scope of competency
• May be placed on-call during a regularly scheduled shift
• Perform independent nursing functions and delegated medical functions per state Board of Nursing standards
• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care
• Conduct health teaching, counseling, and patient referrals as needed
• Review and monitor therapy and treatment plans
• Document care in accordance with hospital and regulatory guidelines
• RTO is flexible
• Former permanent staff must be separated from any Intermountain facility for at least one year before being eligible for this assignment
