American Traveler, LLC. is hiring a Med/Surg RN for a 15-week day shift contract in Hawaii. The assignment requires an active Hawaii RN license and a minimum of 2 years of med/surg experience.

The role involves caring for adult patients on a 50-bed unit with a 1:5 nurse-to-patient ratio, potential float to other units, and use of Meditech EMR and related equipment. 36 hours weekly, orientation included, no holiday RTO, arrival in Hawaii required before start.

Qualifications

• BLS certification required; ACLS preferred.
• Minimum 2 years of med/surg or higher level of care experience required.

Responsibilities

• Care for adult patients on a medical-surgical unit.

Responsibilities

• Medical-surgical unit caring for adult patients ages 18 and over
• 50-bed medical unit with a 1:5 nurse-to-patient ratio
• May float to surgical/peds or transitional care units as needed
• Uses Meditech EMR, Pyxis, wound vac, chest tubes, and other related equipment
• Day shift schedule with potential for various shift lengths and days
• Scheduled 36 hours per week following the first full week of orientation
• Must be flexible as there is no guarantee of hours or shift preference
• Provide med/surg level nursing care to adult patients
• Department-specific training and orientation included in the first week
• Professional nursing attire required with closed toe shoes, no specific scrub color
• No holiday RTO requests permitted
• Must report to Employee Health 48-72 hours prior to start of assignment, requiring arrival in Hawaii by the Thursday before a Monday start
