American Traveler is hiring a Med/Surg RN for a 20-bed adult and pediatric unit in Fort Defiance, AZ. Requires 3 years med-surg and 1 year pediatric experience, plus active AZ or compact RN license and BLS/ACLS/PALS certifications.

The role includes a 12-hour night shift with week-to-week hours, on-call duties, and potential coverage for flu clinics. Travelers must attend staff meetings and follow orientation Mondays.

Competenze

• Active AZ or compact RN license required.
• Minimum 3 years of med-surg experience required.
• Minimum 1 year of pediatric experience required.
• Must be comfortable caring for both adult and pediatric patients.
• BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required.

Mansioni

• 20-bed medical-surgical unit caring for adult geriatric and pediatric patients.
• Staffing ratios typically 4:1 (max 5:1) for non-Covid patients and 2:1 (max 3:1) for Covid patients.
• 12-hour night shift schedule, typically 36 hours one week and 48 hours the next.
• Up to 1 on-call shift per week required.
• Must be flexible to work days, weekends, and holidays as needed.
• May be assigned to help cover Flu Immunization clinics as needed.
• Floating to other qualified departments may be required, including patient care or task-oriented duties.
• Maximum of two shift call-offs allowed during the assignment.
• RTO requests for Thanksgiving and Christmas will not be accepted.
• Travelers are expected to attend staff meetings.
• Orientation occurs on Mondays only; missing the compliance deadline will push start to the next scheduled orientation.
