American Traveler, LLC. is seeking a Med/Surg RN for a 13-week day shift assignment in Arizona. Requires 3 years of med-surg experience and pediatric experience with AZ or compact RN license, plus BLS/ACLS/PALS certifications.

The role covers a 20-bed unit with varied shifts, on-call time, and potential floating. Orientation Mondays; travel demands attendance at staff meetings.

Qualifications

• Active AZ or compact RN license required.
• BLS and ACLS certifications required (American Heart Association)
• PALS certification required
• Minimum 3 years of med-surg experience required
• Minimum 1 year of pediatric experience required
• Must be comfortable caring for both adult and pediatric patients

Responsibilities

• 20-bed medical surgical unit caring for adult and pediatric patients
• Staffing ratios typically 4:1 (max 5:1) for non-COVID patients and 2:1 (max 3:1) for COVID patients
• 12-hour day shift with a typical schedule of 36 hours one week and 48 hours the next
• Up to 1 on-call shift per week with a maximum of two shift call-offs
• Must be flexible to work days, nights, weekends, and holidays as needs change
• May be assigned to assist with Flu Immunization clinics as needed
• Occasional floating to other qualified departments required
• Provide Med-Surg nursing care to adult and geriatric patients as well as pediatric patients
• Travelers are expected to attend staff meetings
• Orientation is held on Mondays only; missing the compliance deadline will result in placement in the next scheduled orientation
• Floating duties may include taking a patient load in a qualified setting or completing task-oriented work such as answering call lights and phones
