Job summary

American Traveler is seeking a Registered Nurse for a Med/Surg unit in Montana. Candidates must hold an MT/state or compact RN license and have at least 1 year of specialty experience.

The role requires BLS certification (and ACLS/NRP/PALS as appropriate), with a 36-hour work week across three 12-hour shifts. Epic EMR is used for charting and some cross-departmental float may be required.

Qualifications

• Active RN license MT state or compact required
• ASN required; BSN preferred
• BLS certification required and must not expire before start
• ACLS/NRP/PALS certification as appropriate for unit
• At least 1 year of experience in the specialty
• DOB and last 4 digits of SSN required for consideration

Responsibilities

• Med/Surg unit setting in a hospital environment
• 36 hours per week across three 12-hour shifts (1 day shift and 2 night shifts)
• Uses Epic EMR for charting
• May float to other departments within scope of competency and qualifications
• May be required to take on-call during a regularly scheduled shift
• Perform independent nursing functions and delegated medical functions in accordance with state Board of Nursing standards
• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care, including health teaching and counseling
• Provide supportive and restorative therapy and treatment directly to patients or through delegation, supervision, or teaching of others
• Document care in accordance with hospital and regulatory guidelines
• Permanent staff must be separated from any Intermountain facility for at least one year before becoming eligible for a travel assignment
