American Traveler is hiring a Med/Surg RN for a Surgical/Urology/Thoracic unit in Baltimore, MD. The role requires telemetry and dysrhythmia management experience, with travel-friendly benefits and a 13-week assignment.

Expect 12-hour night shifts, pre/post-operative bedside care for adults, and orientation on the 2nd and 4th Mondays each month. Requires MD-compact license and BLS; Epic EMR experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Active RN license (MD or compact) in hand.
• BLS certification required.
• Minimum 2 years nursing experience.
• Dysrhythmia management experience required.
• Telemetry experience on a surgical/post-surgical unit.
• Epic EMR experience preferred.
• 1–2 travel assignments preferred.
• Experience at 500+ bed facilities preferred.

Responsibilities

• Pre and post-surgical bedside nursing on Surgical/Urology/Thoracic unit.
• Telemetry monitoring with two levels of care and continuous vital signs.
• Night shifts: 12-hour shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM.
• 13-week assignment length.
• Orientation on the 2nd and 4th Monday of every month.
• Local candidates paid at the same rate.
• Work in an academic teaching hospital environment.

Responsibilities

• Work on a Surgical/Urology/Thoracic unit providing pre and post-surgical bedside care
• Two levels of care provided: adult inpatient acute and telemetry with continuous vital sign monitoring
• Night shift schedule: 12-hour shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
• 13-week assignment length
• Provide pre and post-operative bedside surgical care to adult inpatients
• Orientation occurs on the 2nd and 4th Monday of every month
• Local candidates accepted at the same pay rate
• Strong candidates preferred given the facility's academic teaching hospital environment
