American Traveler is seeking a Med/Surg RN for a night shift at a teaching hospital in Massachusetts. Active MA RN license and telemetry experience are required, with Meditech Expanse preferred. Expect 12-hour nights, 1:6 ratios, and hospital-wide floating.

Qualifications include 2+ years Med/Surg, BLS/ACLS/NIHSS, Dysrhythmia training, and a supervisory reference. Travel role with housing and licensure support.

• Unit sizes range 20–34 beds; typical patient ratio 1:6.
• Night shift: 12-hour shifts 7:00 PM–7:30 AM; every other weekend; holiday coverage as needed.
• No on-call; floating to any Med/Surg unit; block scheduling not offered.
• Maintain scrubs per dress code; complete 8 hours orientation.

American Traveler is hiring a Med/Surg RN for a night shift assignment at a teaching hospital, requiring telemetry experience and an active MA RN license in hand.

Requirements

• Active MA RN license required in hand at time of profile upload (compact license not accepted)
• Minimum 2 years of current Medical Surgical experience required
• Telemetry experience required
• Basic Dysrhythmia course completion strongly required
• Meditech Expanse experience highly preferred
• Current certifications required: BLS (AHA), ACLS (AHA), and NIHSS
• Skills checklist for Medical Surgical experience, current within 1 year, required for consideration
• One supervisory signed reference from within the past two years required for consideration
• Must have own vehicle for transportation to assignment

Responsibilities

• Med/Surg unit within a 298-bed teaching hospital
• Unit size ranges from 20 to 34 beds depending on assignment
• Typical patient ratio of 1:6
• Night shift schedule, 12-hour shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
• Every other weekend required, with holiday coverage as needed
• No on-call requirements
• Floating to any Med/Surg unit required; block scheduling not offered
• Deliver direct patient care within a fast-paced Med/Surg environment at a nationally recognized, Joint Commission-accredited teaching hospital
• Personal scrubs of any color permitted per dress code
• 8 hours of non-billable orientation required
• Maximum of 5 days RTO accepted for the entire assignment, and must be submitted at time of profile upload
• Must work two full holiday blocks if scheduled: Thanksgiving Day through the following weekend, Christmas Eve through the weekend after Christmas, and New Year's Eve through the weekend after New Year's Day
• Candidates residing within 50 miles of the facility will not be considered
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
