Job summary

American Traveler, LLC. is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg travel assignment in Tennessee. Requires active TN or compact RN license, BLS, and at least 1 year of recent RN experience in acute care.

Responsibilities include working in a busy Medical/Surgical unit (Trauma Level 3), caring for adult and geriatric patients, patient ratio 6:1, up to 18-24 census, shift 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM, every other weekend, with housing allowance and travel/licensure reimbursements.

Qualifications

• Active TN or compact RN license required.
• Current BLS certification required.
• Minimum 1 year of recent RN experience in acute care.
• Critical care thinking skills preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a busy Med/Surg unit as part of a collaborative team.
• Care for adult and geriatric patients; no pediatrics.
• Shift runs 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM with every other weekend.
• Patient ratio 6:1; census up to 18-24 patients.
• Charts in Medhost EHR; use standard Med/Surg equipment.

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Med/Surg position requiring a TN or compact RN license and at least 1 year of recent experience.

Requirements

• Active TN or compact RN license required
• Current BLS certification required
• Minimum 1 year of recent RN experience required
• Critical care thinking skills preferred
• Must clear Tennessee Abuse Registry check prior to start

Responsibilities

• Acute care hospital setting on the Medical/Surgical unit (Trauma Level 3)
• Adult and geriatric patient population, no pediatrics
• Patient ratio of 6:1, with a unit census of up to 18-24 patients
• Common diagnoses include pneumonia, CVA, chest pain, post-surgical care, electrolyte imbalances, and DVT
• Uses bladder scanners, glucometers, and other standard med/surg equipment
• Charts in Medhost EHR
• Shift runs 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM
• Every other weekend required
• No on-call requirements
• No floating requirements
• Provide direct patient care on a busy Med/Surg unit as part of a collaborative team
• Candidates must live 60 miles or more from the facility to qualify for travel rate
• Cannot have worked as permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the past 12 months
• Cannot be employed elsewhere full-time while on assignment
• Scrubs of any color accepted; casual wear not permitted
