Job summary

TotalMed RN in Boone, Iowa is seeking a travel nurse RN for a Long Term Care assignment. The role requires 1 year of LTC/SNF experience, a current BLS, and state licensure eligibility. ACLS may be required.

Travel RN position with 37.5 hours/week and a tax-free stipend details subject to confirmation. The ideal candidate will oversee resident care, supervise CNAs/LPNs, coordinate with physicians and multidisciplinary teams, and ensure regulatory compliance while delivering high-quality patient

Qualifications

• 1 year of RN experience in Long-Term Care (LTC) or Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF).
• Current BLS certification and be eligible for State licensure.
• ACLS certification may be required in addition to BLS.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive nursing assessments and develop individualized care plans.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Monitor residents' conditions and report changes promptly.
• Supervise and support CNAs and LPNs in daily care activities.
• Provide wound, catheter care and other skilled nursing procedures.
• Coordinate care with physicians, therapists, and social workers.
• Ensure infection control, safety, and regulatory guidelines are followed.
• Participate in care plan meetings and family conferences.
• Document nursing care and resident progress accurately.
• Assist with admissions, discharges, and transfers.
