Job summary

TotalMed RN is seeking a travel nurse RN for a 13-week LTC assignment in Clarinda, Iowa. The RN will oversee and deliver nursing care to residents with chronic conditions, coordinating with physicians and the interdisciplinary team.

Ideal candidates have 1 year of LTC/SNF experience, current BLS certification, and Iowa licensure eligibility. Responsibilities include care planning, medication administration, and supervising CNAs and LPNs to ensure quality resident care.

Qualifications

• Must be a Registered Nurse (RN) with current licensure or eligibility in Iowa.
• BLS certification.
• Minimum of 1 year experience in Long-Term Care (LTC) or Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF).

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive nursing assessments and develop individualized care plans.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Monitor residents’ conditions and report changes promptly.
• Supervise CNAs and LPNs in daily care activities.
• Provide wound care and other skilled nursing procedures.
• Coordinate with physicians, therapists, and social workers.
