Job summary

TotalMed RN in Clarinda, IA seeks a travel RN for a 13-week Long Term Care assignment. 37.5 hours per week, 8-hour days.

The ideal candidate has 1 year of LTC/SNF experience, current BLS, and active state licensure. You will oversee nursing care, coordinate with physicians, and supervise CNAs.

This travel position offers weekly pay, benefits from day one, and the opportunity to work across multiple facilities while delivering quality resident care.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of RN experience in LTC or SNF.
• Current BLS certification.
• Eligible for State licensure.
• Additional certifications may be required.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive nursing assessments and develop individualized care plans.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Monitor residents' conditions and report changes promptly.
• Supervise and support CNAs and LPNs in daily care activities.
• Provide wound care, catheter care, and other skilled nursing procedures.
• Coordinate care with physicians, therapists, and social workers.
• Ensure compliance with infection control, safety, and regulatory guidelines.
• Participate in care plan meetings and family conferences.
• Document nursing care and resident progress accurately and timely.
• Assist with admissions, discharges, and transfers.
