Job summary

TotalMed is seeking a travel RN for a Long Term Care (LTC) assignment in Boone, Iowa. The role requires 1 year of LTC/SNF RN experience, BLS, and Iowa RN licensure eligibility. Responsibilities include assessments, medication administration, care coordination, and supervision of CNAs/LPNs.

This is a travel position with 37.5 hours per week and day shifts. Ideal candidates will be compassionate, detail-oriented, and able to work with interdisciplinary teams to promote resident health and quality

Qualifications

• 1 year of RN experience in Long-Term Care (LTC) or Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF).
• Current BLS certification required.
• Eligible for State RN licensure in Iowa or able to obtain it promptly.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive nursing assessments and develop individualized care plans.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Monitor residents' conditions and report changes promptly to the care team.
• Supervise CNAs and LPNs in daily care activities.
• Provide wound care, catheter care, and other skilled nursing procedures.
• Coordinate care with physicians, therapists, and social workers.
