Job summary

TotalMed RN is seeking a travel nurse RN Long Term Care (LTC) for a travel assignment in Bettendorf, IA. The ideal candidate has 1 year of LTC/SNF experience, current BLS certification, and eligibility for state licensure.

This 8-week contract includes 34.5 hours per week on a 12-hour night shift. As an RN in long-term care you will conduct assessments, administer medications, monitor residents, supervise CNAs/LPNs, and coordinate with physicians and therapists.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of RN experience in Long-Term Care (LTC) or SNF.
• Current BLS certification.
• State licensure eligibility; additional certifications may be required.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive nursing assessments and develop individualized care plans.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Monitor residents' conditions and report changes promptly.
• Supervise and support CNAs and LPNs in daily care activities.
• Provide wound care, catheter care, and other skilled nursing procedures.
• Coordinate care with physicians, therapists, and social workers.
• Document nursing care and resident progress accurately and timely.
• Assist with admissions, discharges, and transfers.
