Job summary

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Labor and Delivery position in California, requiring 3+ years of L&D experience and Epic proficiency. The role features nights (3x12s) and a travel assignment with 4 weekend shifts monthly, using Epic and Allscripts EMR systems.

The position offers comprehensive L&D coverage with hospitalist and anesthesia support, plus opportunities to work across triage, LDR, OR, NICU, and post-partum settings. First-time travelers are welcome.

Qualifications

Minimum 3 years of Labor and Delivery experience required.
Epic EMR experience required.
Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NRP, and AWHONN Advanced.
Allscripts charting experience preferred.
Experience circulating for C-sections required.
References required for consideration.
Must pass an advanced EKG exam (80% minimum, two attempts allowed).

Responsibilities

Labor and Delivery unit including 4 Triage, 11 LDR, 2 OR, NICU, and Post-Partum areas.
Supports low and high risk L&D with 24/7 OB hospitalist and OB anesthesia coverage.
Night shift schedule with 3x12 hour shifts from 19:00 to 7:30.
Requires 4 weekend shifts per month (Friday or Saturday nights).
On-call is voluntary, though RNs may be placed on call if not needed for their scheduled shift.
Float to Perinatal unit as needed.
Uses Epic and Allscripts EMR systems.
Utilizes SBAR communication and Omnicell technology.
